| Target Group | This 2-day workshop is for Professionals supporting relational repair between the Parent/Child/Adolescent dyad. Over the two days we will touch lightly on Domestic and Family Violence, Trauma, Attachement, Brain Development and Poly Vagal Theory. |
| Outline | This interactive workshop offers an opportunity to be reminded of the potential detrimental impacts of growing up in a DFV system or similar, and the related impacts on a child/young person’s development and subsequent patterns of behaviour. This is a very practical and experiential training. There will be many opportunities to move and participate in activities, to connect with others and have some fun whilst exploring this weighty topic. Note: Current best practice suggests we only focus our work, building relational repair between children/adolescents and parent once the perpetrator of DFV is no longer in the relationship. Until that point safety is the paramount issue. Day One: (Overview of Theories Day) Day Two: (Logistical / “How to” Day) Will offer highly experiential activities to support the repair and growth of the systems considered in day one. |
