Understanding the Differences between Autism Spectrum Disorder & Complex Trauma GWT has secured a date for a very interesting training facilitated by Nicole from Evolve services. The training content as follows; Often children in the child protection system have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It can be difficult to know how trauma fits into this picture. This presentation will include a brief overview of attachment theory and ASD and the key differences and similarities between an ASD diagnosis, trauma-related behaviours and attachment difficulties. The implications for providing support, intervention strategies and how you can assist with accurate diagnosis will also be outlined. Professionals who work in the Child Safety sector would benefit from this seminar. We have a good lead in time for this training, it took a while to find a time when both Nicole and a training space where available! The date is Thursday 24th May.
