The Youth Mental Health First Aid Course is for adults working or living with adolescents (those aged between 12 and 18 years), however, the course can be relevant for those helping people who are a little younger or older.

This workshop provides a theoretical framework for understanding family functioning, how behavioural issues can develop, and how children’s emotional development can be supported and facilitated.
Participants have the opportunity to apply the theoretical concepts to assessment, formulating interventions, and other applications.

This workshop is designed for anyone who may be interested in the ideas of the strengths approach or seeking to be refreshed. This could include case managers, counsellors, youth workers, guidance officers, support workers, social workers, psychologists, speech pathologists, occupation therapists, and/or workers from the field of disability, housing, domestic violence, child protection, education, health and mental health.

This workshop would be suitable for people interested in the treatment of stress, anxiety disorders, trauma, PTSD, phobias, anger, depression and abuse. EFT involves tapping on acupressure points while focusing on a particular physical sensation, emotion, or event. The approach relieves physical and/or emotional symptoms by tapping in sequence on 9 meridian points.

For counsellors, social/human service workers, pastoral care workers, psychologists, youth workers, students or anyone who is a supervisor or a supervisee and interested in practice development.

This one-day workshop is designed for anyone who wants to build their confidence in working with groups. This could include facilitating therapeutic groups, working with small work teams, or delivering training to colleagues or community groups.
