It has been utilised in USA for over 25 years with great success.  Outcomes evaluations and research has been conducted in the US.\n\n\n\nThe Approach was originally designed to support the most challenging and intense children – including those with ADHD\, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioural diagnoses. Now NHA is widely acclaimed as a powerful way of helping all children to flourish; in fact all relationships can flourish adult and child. Being utilized in DV Disability Residentials\, Foster Care Schools.\n\n\n\nThe Nurtured Heart Approach is a relationship-focused methodology designed to help children (and adults) build their Inner Wealth/Self Esteem/ Resilience and use their intensity in successful ways.\n\n\n\nThe approach is a non punitive and strengths based approach to parenting and relationships.\n\n\n\nThe Approach also helps us see how some commonly used  parenting methods may inadvertently be having an adverse impact on behaviours and escalating our children when we are hoping to calm them.\n\n\n\nThe group is facilitated by a registered Nurtured Heart Trainer. \n\n\n\nFor further information check Nurtured Heart Institute website home of Nurtured Heart Approach.\n\n\n\nFree Training held at Kyabra Community Association\, 37 Kyabra Street Runcorn 4113

SUMMARY:Circle of Security - Free parenting course
DESCRIPTION:Held at Kyabra – 37 Kyabra Street\, Runcorn Qld. Register now to book your place – call Reception 3373 9499. \n\n\n\n\n\nCircle of Security for Parents – a safe place to explore your parenting! \n\n\n\n\nA face to face 7 week group held at 37 Kyabra Street\, Runcorn 10:00am to 12:30pm every Thursday starting from 30th July to 10th September 2026. \n\n\n\nWe know that behind every one of our behaviours\, there is a need. Sometimes parents find it hard to identify the needs of their children and view their child’s behaviour as ‘attention seeking’ and bad behaviour. This view can often escalate our child’s frustration; their need to connect with us and get support is misunderstood leaving the child feeling sad\, angry and misunderstood.\n\n\n\nThe group focuses on your child’s attachment needs and helps you to identify that your child has a need. A child’s need sometimes cannot be satisfied; however\, you will learn how to recognise that there is a need and support a child in their sadness overwhelm\, and frustration\, helping them co-regulate and calm when they cannot get their need met.\n\n\n\nCOS is a relational approach\, not a behaviour management approach. Behaviours will naturally change with this approach as relationships and safe attachment strengthen.\n\n\n\nYou will learn to identify the cues your children give when they are feeling insecure or overwhelmed and need a parent/carer to step in and offer support.\n\n\n\nYou will learn to identify the cues your children give when they are feeling secure\, safe and happy and want you to share and delight in them.\n\n\n\nYou will also have the opportunity to consider your own attachment style\, developed during childhood and the impact that this may be having on your current parenting.\n\n\n\nThe group will be facilitated by a Registered Circle of Security Trainer
