PLAY AND GROW 

Come and share your morning with other parents with young children every Wednesday and Thursday at Kyabra or every Tuesday at Richlands Community Centre.  This is a facilitated group, with creative activities and learning opportunities offered free of charge. 

PARENT TRAIL ONE TERM 1 2019

This is a 9 week course offered during Term 1 at Kyabra in Runcorn.

Held on Tuesdays - 5th February to 2nd April  2019 10:00 am - 12:30 pm each session. 

This group will offer parents the opportunity to:

  • Hear and share other peoples stories of parenting

  • Receive input and reflections from a group

  • Use art, creative writing, music and discussion

  • Explore your parental picture and enhance your particular style of  parenting

  • Create a personal safety first aid kit for you and your family Join with others to have fun and relax

BUILDING A FUTURE

Wellways Building a Future is a 12 session mental health education and support program for families, friends and carers of someone experiencing mental health issues. The program is led by peers - trained people who have their own lived experience as a family member, friend or carer.

First session: Wednesday 27th February 2019, 10am to 1pm

CIRCLE OF SECURITY

From the moment children are born, they are doing their best to communicate their needs. Circle of Security helps us understand our children's needs. A safe place to explore and support our parenting.

This is a FREE 7 week group that allows us a way to understand how we relate to our children and understanding what it means to be a "good enough" parent.

Richlands - Monday 18th February to Monday 1st April, 10am to 12pm

Runcorn - Tuesday 19th February to Tuesday 2nd April, 10am to 12pm

NURTURED HEART APPROACH

Nurtured Heart is a simple framework which nurtures and grows a child's positive sense of self. All children who have been introduced to this approach flourish and learn to appreciate what is great about them.

If you are interested in learning more about the Nurtured Heart Approach, please join us for a free six week course.

Daytime Course - Thursday 14th February to Thursday 14th March, 10am to 12:30pm

Evening Course - Thursday 14th February to Thursday 14th March, 6pm to 8pm

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves.

This course is open for all members of the community who are supporting a loved one with a mental health concern.

Saturday 16th February 2019 and Saturday 23rd February 2019

9:00am to 4:30pm

Participants must attend both days in February to complete the course and receive a certificate.
